“It’s a Girl!”
“It’s a Boy!”
Generally, these are the first words heard after the birth of a child. Three simple… little… words. Words that describe gender that are based on whether the child has a penis or a vagina. These words set the child in a direction for life…, or maybe… they used to. However, the American College of Pediatricians believes “Facts—Not ideology-determine reality.” (Visit https://www.acpeds.org/gender-dysphoria-in-children-summary-points).
Today, we live in a culture that is pushing children to be neither male nor female. It is cool, hip, socially acceptable and politically correct to look and act androgynous; meaning to have both male and female behaviors and features. It’s becoming shameful, offensive, and politically incorrect to be fully male or female (Visit http://www.charlottestories.com/cms-introduces-gender-unicorn-transgender-policy-presentation/.)
Technology is moving humanity at an ever increasing pace. Technology, science, medicine, psychology, philosophy, and theology are becoming more and more interconnected. The advancement of science to improve our quality of life as well as cure cancer, diseases, and addictions is a great cause. Living longer healthier lives has been the goal since humanity sought the fountain of youth.
Artificial intelligence, biogenetics, bio-technology, chip implants, cybernetics, DNA, designer babies, endo/exo-skeleton, epigenetics, gene mutation, human cloning, micro-biology, nano-technology, organ donation, organ harvesting, stem cells, singularity, superhuman, super soldiers, transhumanism post-humanism, womb donation, wetware, virtual reality, and virtual sexuality are just some of the sciences and technologies advancing very quickly. Fact or Fiction?
Some transhumanists admit (others deny) that the goal of all of this is to become god-like or demigods. To be god-like is not to be limited by gender, yet to have the best of both genders. To transcend the physical limitations of the body, gender and race we are born with is the goal of post-humanism as well as to rid ourselves of all human limitations, genes, or DNA. The desire to exceed our mortality and to live forever as immortal beings is a growing movement. It sounds worthy, honorable and good.
(Now, I am sure I read an ancient book about something very similar to this. Old books about people from a long time ago…I am sure it was just a fairytale.)
Computers will exceed the speed of the human mind and already exceed its ability to store and recall large amounts of data accurately. However, computers do a poor job in understanding ethics or moral issues, such as right or wrong. Since morality is so subjective anymore among humans, computers might actually become better at this. Fact or Fiction?
Androgyny. Does it really matter? Should we really care? A man “identifies” himself as a woman. A woman “identifies” herself as a man. We should not judge or infringe on their “legal right.” Okay, so now what?
Let’s take it further. A teenager identifies as a 65-year-old who should be able to receive the senior discount at a restaurant. A Caucasian man identifies himself as an African American and was treated poorly because of racism. A man identifies as having a vagina and believes he is a victim of sexism. A child identifies herself as being taller than she is and should be allowed to ride the roller coaster which will not hold her securely. A 10-year-old identifies as a 20-year-old and should be allowed to drive. An adult identifies as a baby and wears diapers all day. An adult identifies as being an animal and dresses as well as acts as that animal all day. A college student with no work history identifies herself as a CEO of a top 100 company and should be given the current CEO and Founder’s position. An adult identifies as having sex with babies more than with adults and should be allowed to do so. Fact or Fiction in the present? Fact or Fiction in the future?
But none of this really matters… to the transhumanist. This thinking is still too small. Transhumanism and post-humanism and all the other humanisms are about becoming one with computers, also known as Singularity, in a collective conscious without the limitations of the human body.
To do this, penises and vaginas will no longer be needed, neither will families, marriage, relationships, love, intimacy or reproduction. Want to have sex? “There is an app for that” to simulate the act of sex in your brain via a chip implant. Sex will become less about intimacy with a partner and more about serving yourself. Children will be grown in a lab without gender but having a dozen or more parental DNA donors. Donors will not only be the separated human DNA but also mixed with animal DNA. To be 100 percent human will be looked upon as a downgrade. Fact or Fiction?
Seeds. Control plant seeds and you will control the world’s food supply. Control human seed and you will control humanity from being able to create, alter, manipulate, or guide their future. Many testimonies of nonfiction accounts of humans abducted by “aliens” (or was it Greek mythological creatures from long ago or maybe it was demons in the night) report their captor’s interest on their genitals as well as taking sperm and egg samples. Fact or Fiction? I guess transhumanists are late to the party.
In addition, this does not matter to those who do not share these ideas. They believe the transhumanist only considers the physical, electrical and chemical portions of humanity. Transhumanism is actually a step backward for humanity, not forward. Can disease, sickness, and addictions really be eliminated from humanity, or are they just to be normalized as humanity becomes desensitized to the value of life? They are not taking into account the spiritual/soul portion of humanity. These are the immortal parts that already exist. Can they even be perfected? Perhaps not everything that appears noble and good really is in the end or even of God. Fact or Fiction?
Are we mortal beings have an immortal experience, or are we immortal beings having a mortal experience?
